The fiesta Señor-Sinulog 1997 celebrations were dedicated to our Beloved Señor Santo Niño: JESUS CHRIST, THE SAVIOR. The 1998 celebrations will be focusing on "The Gift of Señor Santo Niño is the Holy Spirit Dwelling in us". Emphasis is given to the role of the Holy Spirit: in strengthening Christians' call to holiness, in directing Christians towards a community of disciples, in integrating Christians into the Church of the home, in building the Church of the home into a community disciples, intensifying family and life apostolate, revitalizing the value of stewardship and human development, safeguarding the integrity of creation and fostering justice and peace, renewing awareness and generous response to mission and in carrying on Christ's mission.

Both the religious and cultural aspects of the celebrations will bring us all to appreciate more deeply the Gift of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us to the point of transforming our lives for Señor Santo Niño in the Holy Spirit.
