How quickly the years pass!  You are now celebrating the 31st year of your annual fiesta celebration - congratulations!  We have just celebrated Christmas and remember that Jesus' birth was made possible because Mary, said "yes" to God.  The Filipino people, your ancestors, said "Yes" to God for centuries ago when the miraculous image of Santo Nino was first discovered.  And now, your lovely celebration of devotion to the Infant Jesus is a yearly opportunity for each of you to say "yes" once again to God to work in your hearts and  lives.

As we begin a new calendar year our hearts are often filled with promise and hope for a good year.  We often make resolutions to improve ourselves, to try to do things better, to take better care of ourselves and our loves once.  I hope this is a blessed year for the entire Santo Niño de Cebu Association International and for all the families that make up your organization.  May you continue to grow in your faith and prosper in your work .  I hope each of you takes this occasion to make this a spiritual celebrations and not just a social one; a celebration where each of you will open your hearts to the Savior of the world and let him guide your life.  May you continue to keep your traditions alive and pass them onto your children and grandchildren.  May the Santo Niño continue to watch over his beloved Filipino community.  Pit Señor!
